In home compostable extruded paperboard form, the composition decomposes in home compost/backyard compost conditions within 12 weeks.

Ezycompost Was Tested

EzyCompost was tested under Aerobic quantitative disintegration test in compost at ambient temperature (28°C). The result was complete (100%) disintegration after 10.7 weeks of composting. This was very crucial to show how the coated board is acting in a home compost environment and the speed of disintegration.

The aim of the Barley and Sunflower test is to see if there is any exotoxicity concerns. Both these tests are done with sensitive plants in order to see the ecotoxicity effect easily. As can be seen from the pictures, both the standard and test plants are healthy which proves the results to be positive.
