As a result of our R&D studies, we have developed a product that can completely dissolve (without any persistent micro plastic residue) within 6 months when disposed of in home compost. Our EZYCOMPOST product is an environmentally friendly alternative to polymer-coated paper cardboard products that come into contact with food such as polyethylene-coated cup cardboard, soup bowls and various food containers.
The recycling rate of conventionally coated paper cups currently used in the market is very low at 3-3,5%. Due to the polymer structure it contains, it cannot be recycled on its own in the city cartel, causing environmental pollution and persistent micro plastic residues. For this reason, we developed this product and introduced it to the market.
Our EZYCOMPOST product not only reduces environmental pollution significantly, but also provides biological benefits when both the cellulose fibers contained in the paper and the home compostable coating are mixed into the soil during its dissolving process. Fibers from the cellulose nurture the soil.
While developing the product, we conducted various trials with many chemical companies and after the 7th trial, we achieved success. The developed bio polymer is certified by TUV Austria. The paper/board used is certified biodegradable.
Our EZYCOMPOST product is the first in its field and many trials have been carried out especially in Europe and America. We continue to work on various projects with the most important companies in the food packaging sector.
Approximately 1.5 million tons of polymer coated cardboard is used to make cups and bowls worldwide. Considering that only 3-3,5% of these are recycled (even in developed countries rates are low), it is obvious how serious environmental pollution is. Eliminating or at least partially reducing this pollution is very important for our environment and the health of living things.
EZYCOMPOST can be produced with our existing extrusion lines and does not require any further investment.
We sent our EZYCOMPOST products to many of our customers who are sensitive about being environmentally friendly and goals set for 2030. We received positive feedback and proudly shared them on our website and social media platforms.
